- Continued acceleration of farming systems transition towards agroecology via living labs and research infrastructures, in line with agreed Partnership outcomes
• Expanded EU-wide network representing diverse pedo-climatic conditions and farming systems, fostering exchange of best practices
• Successful co-funded research projects delivering ready-to-use tools, solutions and innovations for farmers and stakeholders across varied contexts
• Robust indicators, metrics and monitoring tools widely adopted to track agroecology transition and sustainability performance
• Evidence-based inputs effectively informing EU, national and regional agroecology and sustainability policies
• Broad uptake of partnership results by farmers, policymakers and practitioners, including in regions with limited prior agroecology engagement
• New partners from additional Member States and Associated Countries integrated, strengthening partnership reach and impact
• Reinforced complementarities with other Missions, Partnerships and international initiatives, enhancing global agroecology collaborations
• Successive updates to the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda reflecting lessons learned, emerging needs and stakeholder feedback
Funded areas

Scope Requirements

- Proposal must be submitted by the coordinator of the consortium funded under topic HORIZON-CL 6-2023-FARM2FORK-01-1 and build directly on its agreed outcomes
• Full alignment with the partnership’s co-created Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda
• Balanced mix of:

• Financial support to third parties (FSTP)

• Internal activities (network building, agenda updates, tool and metric development, policy support)
• Establishment and maintenance of an EU-wide network of agroecology living labs and research infrastructures, ensuring balanced representation of farming systems across pedo-climatic and bio-geographical regions
• Joint calls for transnational proposals with pooled national/regional funding and sufficient implementation time
• Systematic upscaling of concrete, ready-to-use agroecological solutions for varied contexts
• Open call for additional partnership members from under-represented Member States and Associated Countries
• Coverage of all agricultural production systems, including conventional and organic farming, to boost sector sustainability and uptake of agroecological practices
• Description of activities to reinforce synergies with related Missions, Partnerships and international initiatives
• Presentation of additional activities and any new partners in a separate annex detailing amendments to the existing grant agreement
Additional Conditions for Applicants

Special Conditions

- Eligibility restricted to the existing consortium coordinator from topic HORIZON-CL 6-2023-FARM2FORK-01-1; additional partners may be proposed but must be evaluated within context
• Action implemented via amendment of the existing grant agreement, with entry-into-force date reflecting the grant amendment
• Funding rate capped at 50% of eligible costs, due to in-kind pooling and in-house activities
• FSTP grants capped at EUR 10 million per third party (higher amounts only if clearly justified);

• Retroactive start date permitted from proposal submission date if justified
• No application of the EUR 60 000 threshold of Article 207(a) of the Financial Regulation
• Award of FSTP can only be in the form of grants
• Evaluation of additional activities must consider the original evaluation context and existing obligations
• Use of Copernicus and/or Galileo/EGNOS data/services mandatory if satellite-based Earth observation or positioning data are used
• Joint Research Centre (JRC) may participate as a consortium member
