What is the AMI CORIFER 2023 Call?
Expected Outcomes
• Structuring technological breakthroughs or demonstrators that accelerate the rail sector’s transition to sustainable, zero-emission mobility
• Enhanced industrial competitiveness through innovative processes, products, or services adopted by multiple players in the rail ecosystem
• Direct contributions to the France 2030 objectives: deployment of zero-emission rail vehicles and more resource-efficient, sovereign, resilient transport solutions
• Reinforced R&D collaboration across SMEs, mid-caps, large firms, research centers, and public authorities in the rail domain
Scope Requirements
• Contribute to a deep transformation of the rail sector and its mobility systems in line with the R&D roadmap defined by the rail industry committee and validated by the national Orientation Council
• Address key technological challenges (e.g. digitalization, automation, new materials, energy efficiency), improve industrial competitiveness, and accelerate ecological transition (e.g. zero-emission propulsion, resource-efficient operations)
• Be structuring for participating enterprises, the broader rail supply chain, and the wider rail transport ecosystem
• Align with the France 2030 investment plan objectives, notably producing 2 million zero-emission vehicles by 2030 and developing a sober, sovereign, and resilient mobility
• Properly justify any costs claimed as “industrial research”; unsubstantiated costs will be reclassified as experimental development and funded at the lower rate
Special Conditions
• Subsidy rates: 75% of eligible costs for industrial research, 60% for experimental development
• Applicants must provide detailed cost justifications for the research industrial category, or risk reclassification
• The call is open until 28 November 2023 at 12:00 Paris time, with two submission cut-offs on 25 July 2023 and 28 November 2023 (both at 12:00)
