Scope Requirements

• Applicant must be an individual (non-artist), organization, institution or company established in the Netherlands or Caribbean part of the Kingdom (excluding individual artists, art education/post-graduate institutions, sales-oriented commercial art institutions).

• Commissioned work must be non-profit, accessible to the public and presented in the Netherlands or Caribbean Kingdom.

• Artist must be a professional visual artist with at least one year of professional practice (HBO diploma date or first professional presentation date).

• Budget must include a realistic artist’s fee (per Central Government Real Estate Agency or Fair Pay calculators) and production/presentation costs.

• Financial contribution from the commissioner must be proportionate to the requested grant.
Additional Conditions for Applicants

Special Conditions

• Maximum grant covers up to 50% of total costs for one-off commissions and long collaborations; up to 70% of development costs, capped at €15,000.

• Applications accepted year-round via online system; allow 3 months for processing; no retrospective funding.

• Permanent works may not be moved or traded without Fund permission; fair compensation to artist if so.

• Applicant must adhere to the Fair Pay Code, Fair Practice Code, Culture Governance Code and Diversity & Inclusion Code.

• Quotes required for budget items over €1,000; all attachments as non-hyperlinked PDFs; max file sizes and page limits enforced.
