What is the Art Heritage Festival grant Call?

Grant Description
The grant supports not for profit organisations to present visual art and/or heritage at annual physical festivals and similar events in the Netherlands or the Caribbean part of the Kingdom, aiming to reach more diverse or broader audiences and make a meaningful public connection at a supra-regional, national or international level.

Reaching a broader and more diverse audience for visual art and heritage; fostering meaningful public engagement; increasing the visibility of visual art and heritage; contributing to and strengthening the regional, national or international cultural infrastructure; enhancing the overall quality and sustainable development of the visual art and heritage landscape in the Netherlands and the Caribbean part of the Kingdom.
Funded areas

Scope Requirements

Applicants must be legal entities or collectives based in the Netherlands or the Caribbean part of the Kingdom with non-profit objectives; events must take place physically in those regions and occur no more than once a year; projects must be (partly) dedicated to visual art and/or heritage; minimum project budget must exceed €25,000 and include only project‐related costs; grant covers up to 40% of eligible project costs; no retrospective applications; 3-month processing period; institutions for art education and post-academic institutions are excluded; journals, publications, documentaries, symposia, conferences and online events are ineligible; no simultaneous funding from other Mondriaan Fund grants or specified national cultural funds.
Additional Conditions for Applicants

Special Conditions

Applicants may not seek revenue or sales from supported activities; must subscribe to the Fair Practice Code, Culture Governance Code and Diversity & Inclusion Code; if an artist is involved, they must have at least one year of professional practice; realistic artist remuneration and fair pay according to collective labour agreements is obligatory and must be detailed in the budget using approved fee calculators; cannot apply simultaneously for the Artist’s Fee grant for the same project; no double‐funding for identical activities; collaborations require declarations of consent; full documentation (KVK extract, institution profile, project and presentation plans, budget, CVs, visual documentation, etc.) must be submitted as specified, within page and technical limits.
