What is the ASTRID Resistance Call?

Grant Description
This call supports low‐technology‐maturity research projects of dual nature in the energy field aimed at anticipating and controlling the evolution of technologies for future defence and security systems. It addresses cognitive and psychosocial resistance mechanisms, narrative diffusion, measurement scales and human and technological dimensions, with projects lasting 18 to 36 months and falling under basic or industrial research.
Required Results for Successful Funding

Expected Outcomes

• Generation of new scientific knowledge and methodologies to enhance cognitive resistance and immunity against influence operations.

• Development of metrics and evaluation scales for individual and collective resistance to coercive or manipulative narratives.

• Prototypes, models or validated proof-of-concepts demonstrating psychosocial or technological levers for defence applications.

• Innovations with dual‐use potential that can be transitioned into future defence and security systems, as well as civilian industry.
