What is the Avance Innovation Call?
Expected Outcomes
• Reduction of uncertainty around the innovation’s viability
• Submission of a comprehensive final report and expenditure statement
• Strengthened capacity for commercialization or further scaling of the disruptive technology
• Compliance with contractual milestones enabling repayment of the advance
Scope Requirements
• Projects must qualify as “innovation de rupture” (breakthrough innovation) or entail high technical/market uncertainty
• No eligible expenditure may be incurred before the date of aid application
over
• Eligible costs may be funded up to 70% depending on enterprise size and project scope
• Project duration must not exceed 36 months
Special Conditions
• Two disbursement tranches:
– First tranche upon contract signature and satisfaction of any suspensive clauses
– Second tranche at project completion, upon submission of a final program report and a detailed statement of actual expenditures to Bpifrance
• Application processing fees apply as per the current fee schedule
• No retrospective funding: expenses incurred before application date are ineligible
