Expected Outcomes
• Secure funding (grant, repayable advance or low-rate loan) to carry R&D and demonstrator activities to advanced stages

Scope Requirements
• Eligible French participants: SMEs or ETIs (fewer than 2 000 full-time equivalents consolidated) or public/private laboratories, headquartered in France
• Project focus: must be a collaborative international R&D effort addressing one of the five Eureka verticals: next-gen telecom, low-carbon technologies, software, manufacturing industry or electronic systems/components
• Market orientation: innovation must be applied to industry with a clear route to commercialization
• Maturity: for i-Demo calls, projects must be at demonstrator stage; for Aide à l’innovation, projects may be at R&D or pre-industrial stages
• Compliance with cluster-specific calls and schedules (e.g., Celtic-Next, Eurogia2030, ITEA4, SMART, Xecs)
Special Conditions
• Funding schemes: choice between i-Demo (demonstrator financing) and Aide pour le développement de l’innovation (repayable advance or Innovation loan) based on project typology
• Aid rates for i-Demo: up to 75% grant + 25% advance remboursable for industrial research; up to 60% grant + 40% advance remboursable for experimental development
• Aide à l’innovation: total aid between €50 000 and €3 000 000; repayable advance up to 65% or Innovation loan up to 80% of eligible costs
• ETI size limit: applicants must have fewer than 2 000 ETP on a consolidated basis
• Funding conditional on Bpifrance’s terms, including repayment schedules for advances and loans
• Calls frequency varies by cluster (1–2 per year per cluster)
