Required Results for Successful Funding

Expected Outcomes

- Demonstrate economic viability of local on-demand production of fashion and other complex textile products (including professional or public market segments) through advanced digital technologies across creation, production, distribution, use and end-of-life
• Accelerate adoption of advanced digital product creation and manufacturing technologies by European textile and fashion SMEs
• Increase the share of re- or near-shored production of time-critical textile products produced in socially and environmentally responsible ways, utilising recycled materials where possible
• Contribute to mitigation of GHG emissions by reducing long-lead-time supply chains, overproduction and pre-consumer waste through digitisation and localised on-demand manufacture
Funded areas

Scope Requirements

- Address at least one of the two call activities (small-scale technology demonstration or service-driven business model uptake)
• Align with upcoming Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation priorities for textiles (durability, recyclability, repairability, recycled content)
• Demonstrate integration of advanced digital product creation and manufacturing technologies by European textile and fashion SMEs
• Include a credible business case and initial exploitation strategy as per Destination requirements
• Involve at least one advanced technology provider, one manufacturing SME, and one end-market facing company (e.g. retailer or service provider)
• Consortium partners must come from at least two different countries
• Financial support to third parties (FSTP) only to SME participants; larger companies and start-ups are encouraged as active partners
• Indicative project duration: 18 months; each third-party beneficiary funding capped at EUR 60 000

Special Conditions

- Type of action: HORIZON IA with lump-sum grant modality (HORIZON-AG-LS)
• Financial support to third parties must be provided as grants only, in lump sums, max EUR 60 000 per third-party SME
• Eligible participants and conditions follow Horizon Europe General Annexes (Annex B for countries, Annex C for capacity, Annex G for lump sums)
• Legal entities established in China are not eligible for Innovation Actions
• Projects should seek synergies with existing European, national or regional initiatives, and may include international cooperation with advanced countries in the field
• Must implement the co-programmed European Partnership “Textiles for the Future”
• Proposals to use specified application forms and comply with admissibility, evaluation, and grant agreement rules in Horizon Europe Work Programme
