Expected Outcomes
• Tested prototypes or formulations with documented user feedback and iterative refinements
• A robust, sustainable business case and business model ready for commercialization and investment
• Clear value proposition, go-to-market strategy, IP protection plan and competitor landscape analysis
• Defined roadmap for regulatory approval, certification or standardisation (if applicable)
• Enhanced investment readiness and attraction of follow-on funding or private investment
Scope Requirements
• Target to raise Technology Readiness Level to 5–6 through a balanced mix of technology development and validation activities
• Follow user-centric methodologies and iterative processes with early customer/user feedback
• Address market readiness comprehensively: market research, value proposition, business case/model, prospects for growth, IP protection, competitor analysis
• Include activities to tackle regulation, certification and standardisation as relevant
• Ensure the business idea and technology are investment ready
Special Conditions
• Legal entities may be startups, SMEs, research performing organisations (universities, RTOs) or spin-out teams
• Proposals must use the current Part B application form (not older templates) and adhere to the 22 A4-page limit for Sections 1–3 plus cover page; excess pages are disregarded
• Single-stage submission under a lump sum Model Grant Agreement (HORIZON-AG-LS)
• Budget per project: EUR 500 000 – 2 500 000; total call budget EUR 98 000 000
• Eligible countries defined in Annex B of the Work Programme; third-country participation rules apply per Annex 2 of EIC WP 2025
• Applicants must satisfy standard admissibility, eligibility, exclusion, and financial/operational capacity requirements as detailed in EIC WP 2025 and its annexes
