Expected Outcomes

Project results are expected to deliver:
• Better evidence for public authorities and not-for-profit organisations on how cultural participation can reinforce social fabric, civic engagement and the green transition in neighbourhoods
• Improved understanding of the role of cultural and creative sectors in participatory decision-making processes and community engagement strategies for the green transition
• Enhanced methods and strategies that increase inhabitants’ sense of belonging, collective engagement and ownership in neighbourhood green transition efforts, especially among marginalised and underrepresented groups
Funded areas

Scope Requirements

Proposals must:
• Review existing evidence and collect relevant data in a systematic, comparable way across at least some territories or dimensions
• Explore wider benefits of cultural participation for individuals and communities, with attention to those feeling left behind, vulnerable or marginalised
• Where methodology allows, establish correlations or causal links between cultural participation and social/civic outcomes
• Provide comprehensive analysis of variables affecting social fabric and green transition (socio-demographics, context, infrastructure, digital literacy, innovation capacity, polarisation, wellbeing, mental health, safety, crime, loneliness)
• Propose a minimum of three evidence-based methods or strategies to foster social fabric and support the neighbourhood green transition
• Demonstrate and monitor these methods in at least three neighbourhoods in different Member States or Associated Countries, assessing effectiveness and sustained effects, particularly among marginalised and underrepresented groups
• Generate recommendations for public authorities and not-for-profit organisations on facilitating cultural participation, detailing required skills, competencies and partnerships
• Adopt a participatory and transdisciplinary approach, involving diverse actors (public authorities, local actors, civil society, private owners, cultural operators, etc.) and SSH disciplines
• Ensure effective contribution of Social Sciences and Humanities experts and institutions in all research activities
• Dedicate a minimum of 0.2% of the total budget to share intermediate and final results with the Coordination and Support Action “New European Bauhaus hub for results and impact” (HORIZON-MISS-2024-NEB-01-03)

• Proposal page limits and layouts as per General Annexes A, E and Application Form Part B
• At least 0.2% of total budget allocated to sharing results with the NEB hub (HORIZON-MISS-2024-NEB-01-03)
• Mandatory involvement of Social Sciences and Humanities expertise throughout
• Participatory and transdisciplinary working principles as defined in the NEB glossary
• Demonstrations in a minimum of three neighbourhoods in different Member States or Associated Countries
• Compliance with admissibility, eligibility, financial and operational capacity, and exclusion criteria in General Annexes B and C
• Evaluation under award criteria, scoring and thresholds in Annex D and procedures in Annex F
• Model Grant Agreement: Horizon Lump Sum Grant (HORIZON-AG-LS)
• Submission via single-stage call by 12 November 2025, 17:00 Brussels time
