Expected Outcomes
– Generation of applicable knowledge and practical solutions that improve green sector practice.
– Creation of tangible deliverables: prototypes, demonstrators, (business) models, research/work methods, processes, product and service concepts, and pilot test results.
– Expanded professional networks and collaboration frameworks linking MBOs, universities of applied sciences and SMEs.
– Positive impact on MBO educational programmes through integration of project results into curricula and teaching practice.
Scope Requirements
– Consortium must include at least two practical partners (min. one SME established in the Netherlands) and a research group from a University of Applied Sciences affiliated with a Center of Expertise.
– Projects must fall within the green domain and focus on practice-oriented research/innovation.
– Maximum grant per project: €40,000.
– Minimum co-financing by practical partners: 25% of the subsidy (cash or in-kind).
– Project duration: up to 12 months; must start within 3 months of award.
– Applications accepted continuously until September 9, 2025 (14:00 hrs).
Special Conditions
– Eligibility check by Regieorgaan SIA within 65 working days; only eligible applications proceed to independent peer-review.
– Assessment on five criteria: thematic fit, demand articulation, networking, innovation (KIEM-groen framework), and feasibility; all criteria must be scored “adequate” for a positive decision.
– Funding decisions made on a first-come, first-served basis; outcomes communicated within 10 weeks of eligibility determination.
– Budget of the overall call: €500,000; finance type: Applied Science (KIEM 2021–2024 Groene practoraten).
