Expected Outcomes

Scope Requirements
• Projects must be applied science in nature and practice-oriented.
• Consortia must include interdisciplinary collaboration among at least two academic disciplines (from the broad list spanning humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, engineering, arts, etc.) and engagement with social or industry partners.
• Eligible applicants include starting researchers and larger research teams; knowledge utilisation and societal impact must be demonstrable.
• Project budgets must not exceed €40,000 per application, covering personnel, materials, workshops, travel, and minor equipment.
• Projects must be completed within the 2024–2026 funding period.
Special Conditions
• Maximum funding per project: €40,000; total programme budget: €1,834,917.
• Projects must form part of the KIEM Maatschappelijk Verdienvermogen (MV) 2024–2026 research programme.
• Only multi-partner consortia (academic + non-academic) are eligible; isolated single-institution applications will be rejected.
• Applicants must demonstrate capacity for knowledge utilisation and outline clear pathways to follow-up funding or innovation.
• Emphasis on both exploratory research and concrete preparatory outputs (e.g., prototypes, pilot data, implementation roadmaps).
