What is the Mobile Heritage Restoration Grant Call?

Grant Description
The grant supports the restoration and repair of mobile heritage objects listed in the Dutch National Register and featured in the Toonbeelden storylines. It aims to boost quality, increase support, and ensure sustainable, operational use, covering rail, road, water, and air heritage, with focus on environmental, energy and climate aspects and public visibility.
Required Results for Successful Funding

Expected Outcomes

• Reinforced quality, longevity and operational sustainability of extraordinary mobile heritage objects.

• Increased support for and public engagement with restored mobile heritage through targeted presentation and communication strategies.

• Enhanced environmental, energy and climate performance integrated into restoration practices.

• Professionalisation and sector strengthening via knowledge transfer, apprenticeships and cross-sector collaboration (road, water, air, rail).

• Exemplary restoration projects that enrich the cultural-historical storyline of Toonbeelden and serve as models for innovation in mobile heritage preservation.

• Expanded public accessibility and a clarified narrative of the object’s cultural-historical significance to intended audiences.
