National Competence Centres for High Performance Computing

• Fully operational NCC in each Participating State delivering HPC services, training and consultancy tailored to national user communities.

• Increased uptake and effective use of HPC resources by industry, academia and public administrations at national level.

• A coherent, well-connected network of NCCs across Europe, sharing best practices, tools and training materials.

• Harmonised service offerings that fill gaps in national HPC ecosystems and avoid duplication.

• Enhanced cross-border support to stakeholders, channelled through the NCC network and the CSA coordination action.

• Strengthened national HPC ecosystems, fostering innovation and competitiveness across EU Member States and Associated Countries.

• One NCC proposal per Participating State, up to the maximum number of EuroHPC JU Participating States.

• Proposals must set up a new NCC or further develop an existing one, addressing national HPC needs across multiple user domains (industry, academia, public sector).

• Detailed service portfolio must be presented, showing modularity and adaptability to the maturity of the national HPC ecosystem.

• Plan for local outreach (communication, training, consultation) and mechanisms for collecting and acting on user feedback.

• Clear coordination strategy with other NCCs and the ECS Coordination and Support Action (DIGITAL-JU-CSA) to ensure a coherent European NCC network.

• Compliance with the DIGITAL-AG (Action Grant Budget-Based) modality: single-stage submission, respect of budgetary and timing constraints.

• Indicative per-grant budget request between EUR 1 000 000 and EUR 2 000 000.
