This call supports informal networking among neighbourhoods at risk of gentrification to exchange knowledge, build capacity, and innovate policymaking aligned with New European Bauhaus values. Required Results for Successful Funding

Expected Outcomes

• Increased use of innovative policies to mitigate negative gentrification impacts and enhance positive outcomes (revitalization, sustainable growth, diversity, integration) in urban, peri-urban and rural neighbourhoods

• Enhanced capacity of local policymakers to anticipate and address gentrification through policy design and implementation aligned with New European Bauhaus principles

• Empowerment of local communities to engage in decision-making processes and co-create regeneration strategies that prevent displacement, loss of cultural identity and socio-economic inequality
Funded areas

Scope Requirements

• Bottom-up network engaging at least 15 neighbourhoods from urban, peri-urban and rural areas across multiple Member States/Associated Countries

• Comprehensive mapping of local needs, challenges, trends and opportunities

• Documentation and dissemination of current knowledge, policies, tools and best practices on gentrification and New European Bauhaus values

• Development of user-friendly tools addressing identified needs

• Support for local decision-makers to grasp gentrification drivers, housing speculation, policy gaps, socio-demographic and cultural impacts, and urban–rural interplay

• Implementation of at least one of: (a) development or revision of local policies (social, economic, urban, housing, planning, mobility, green transition) or (b) formulation of neighbourhood regeneration strategies with mitigation measures

• Participatory, transdisciplinary methodology involving multiple actors and disciplines

• Effective integration of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) expertise
Additional Conditions for Applicants

Special Conditions

• Lump sum grant under MGA HORIZON-AG-LS with eligible costs defined by the Horizon Europe Simplified Costs Decision

• At least 0.2% of total budget must be dedicated to sharing intermediate and final results with the NEB hub for results and impact (HORIZON-MISS-2024-NEB-01-03)

• Compliance with general admissibility, eligibility, exclusion, evaluation and award criteria as per Horizon Europe General Annexes (A–G)

• Proposal page limits, layout, and submission procedures as described in Annexes A, E and Part B of the Application Form

• Participation restricted to entities from eligible countries listed in Annex B of the General Annexes

• Mandatory involvement of SSH experts and institutions to ensure societal impact

• Deadline: 12 November 2025, 17:00 Brussels time; single-stage submission
