What is the PEPR SPLEEN AMI 2025 Call?
Expected Outcomes
• Development of advanced decision-support and optimization tools for process- and site-level GHG reduction
• Innovative low-carbon energy vectors, enhanced energy efficiency solutions and waste heat valorization methods
• Breakthrough process intensification technologies in catalysis, reactors, cement and steel sectors
• Next-generation CO₂ capture, conversion and sequestration solutions with integrated sociotechnical and environmental monitoring
• Novel high-temperature furnace concepts and cost-effective electrification pathways
• Strengthened national research communities and industrial synergies contributing to SNBC targets of –35 % GHG by 2030 and –81 % by 2050
Scope Requirements
• Consortia must include at least three research or higher-education institutions
• Beneficiaries: public research and/or higher-education establishments or groupings thereof
• Project duration: 48 months; minimum funding request: €800 000; indicative total budget: €13 million
• Principal Investigator may not already lead another PEPR SPLEEN project
• Use of ANR-provided templates for LOI, scientific description, financial and publication annexes
• Submission via the official ANR online portals within specified deadlines

• Consortium composition strictly research establishments; no PI may lead multiple PEPR SPLEEN projects simultaneously
• Adherence to PEPR Financial Regulations and use of prescribed submission templates
• All submissions and communications in French via the designated ANR platforms
