Grant Description
Grant for visual artists and publishers to produce special and innovative publications on living visual artists from the Netherlands or the Caribbean part of the Kingdom, aiming to boost knowledge and dissemination of Dutch contemporary art and support artists’ talent development.

Funded areas

Scope Requirements

- Applicant must be a living visual artist or a recognised publisher (or both jointly).
• Artist must be professionally active in the Netherlands or Caribbean Kingdom for at least one year.
• Publications must focus on living artists (no historical subjects or developments).
• Editions must exceed three copies (artists’ books ≤3 copies ineligible).
• Grant covers up to 35% of eligible expenses; total round budget: €181,000.
• Applications via the Fund’s online portal, three annual deadlines (20 Feb, 22 May, 28 Aug 2025).
• Applicants must hold an account in the system prior to submission.
• No retrospective funding; submitted in full and before deadline.
Additional Conditions for Applicants

Special Conditions

- No applications from artists currently enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s, academic or post-academic programmes.
• Fair Pay compliance: all project contributors must be remunerated in line with applicable CLAs or guidelines; publisher applications must include realistic artist fees.
• No uploads or edits accepted after deadline.
• Applications deemed incomplete or non-compliant with document and page-limit requirements will not be processed.
• Advisory committee assesses both the artistic performance of the artist and the quality & visibility of the publication; positive recommendation on both is required.
• In case of budget constraints, funded projects will be prioritised by committee guidance; positive recommendation does not guarantee a grant.
