Scope Requirements

Proposals must: 1. Develop at least two renovation processes, methods and/or techniques based on design for adaptability and disassembly, enabling future adaptation and repurposing with minimal disruption. 2. Demonstrate these solutions in at least two pilots located in two different Member States or Associated Countries; one pilot must target an existing building and one a common space or infrastructure. 3. Assess barriers to market uptake (economic, environmental, cultural, social—including human capital and skills—and regulatory) compared to conventional renovation, and propose measures to overcome them. 4. Quantify, wherever feasible, environmental (whole life carbon, carbon pricing, energy efficiency, ecosystem services), economic (resource consumption costs), social (neighbourhood needs), cultural (heritage regeneration), financial and regulatory impacts, considering local specificities. 5. Use and build on indicators from the European framework for sustainable buildings ‘Level(s)’. 6. Adopt a participatory, transdisciplinary approach by integrating relevant actors (public authorities, neighbourhood stakeholders, project owners, developers, investors) and disciplines (architecture, design, civil engineering, SSH). 7. Ensure meaningful contribution of SSH disciplines and experts throughout to enhance societal impact. 8. Allocate at least 0.2 % of the total project budget to share results with the NEB hub (HORIZON-MISS-2024-NEB-01-03).
