Expected Outcomes
• New concepts and frameworks for vulnerability and resilience management under global change
• Co-produced knowledge and strengthened partnerships between researchers, policymakers and local stakeholders
• Development and demonstration of innovative DRR solutions tailored to highly exposed territories
• Informed governance strategies and decision-support tools for improved risk management
• Capacity building and emergence of a new generation of interdisciplinary scientists and practitioners equipped to address evolving socio-environmental risks
Scope Requirements
– Area 1: Improved assessment of risks of increasing complexity under global change
– Area 2: Specific attention to exacerbated vulnerabilities in highly exposed territories
– Area 3: Innovative solutions for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)
• Transdisciplinary consortia combining natural, social and engineering sciences and involving relevant stakeholders throughout the research process
• Collaborative Research Action format under the Belmont Forum: international teams adhering to Belmont Forum eligibility criteria
• Two‐step submission process: pre‐proposal stage (deadline 17 Oct 2025, 20:00 CEST) and full proposal stage (deadline 12 Feb 2026, 20:00 CET)
• For French partners: compliance with ANR’s national eligibility criteria, financial regulations and submission modalities
Special Conditions
• French applicants must follow the ANR’s appendices on participation modalities and financial rules
• Two‐stage evaluation process with strict deadlines (pre‐proposals 17 Oct 2025, full proposals 12 Feb 2026)
• Use the designated submission portals: Belmont Forum submission website for international consortia and ANR’s portal for French partners
