Expected Outcomes
• Facilitating radical workplace innovation, optimising human-machine interactions and capitalising on the added value of human workers via digital technologies;
• Developing innovative technologies in a human-centric way while reducing risk and negative health impacts at work;
• Incorporating breakthrough technologies and realising new production processes that respect human-centric design, environmental and societal impacts, and resilience;
• Improving the capacities of actors to integrate Industry 5.0 principles (human-centricity, sustainability, resilience) into technological development processes while increasing industry competitiveness.
Scope Requirements
• Focus on energy-intensive process industries and add the Industry 5.0 perspective (human-centricity, sustainability, resilience) to production processes respecting planetary boundaries;
• Address all required CSA activities: preconditions overview; technology mapping; multi-company, multi-sector practical assessment; framework development; stakeholder engagement; participatory employee empowerment; dissemination and communication; demographic considerations;
• Cover at least five different energy-intensive industry sectors in the practical assessment;
• Develop a participatory approach that empowers employees to co-design processes and workplaces and to reduce risk and negative health impacts;
• Specifically integrate gender, age and disability aspects in technology design, testing and uptake;
• Select and align with one of the relevant Work Programme 2025 “Industry” destinations (1, 2, 4 or 6) and consider its expected impacts in proposal preparation;
• Implement co-programmed Partnerships Processes 4 Planet and Clean Steel.

— Lump sum funding under the Decision of 7 July 2021; no detailed cost reporting
— Eligible participants and countries per Horizon Europe General Annex B (including specific provisions for some non-associated third countries)
— Admissibility: page limits and layout per General Annex A/E and Application Form Part B
— Evaluation and award: criteria and process per General Annex D/F
— Applicants must use the call-specific application form and CSA model grant agreement
— Topic implements co-programmed Partnerships Processes 4 Planet and Clean Steel; select relevant destination from Work Programme
— Proposals must comply with Horizon Europe Ethical, gender and legal requirements
